Most divorce or family law cases are unpleasant enough for the parties involved. Chris is an experienced divorce lawyer who firmly believes that it is his job to limit the misery for his clients and help set them up to live the best life possible.

When it was suggested to him by an opposing attorney that his job was to fight for every last cent that his client could possibly get, Chris unequivocally responded that it wasn’t his job to leave people stewing in misery if there was another good option available.

As a family law attorney, Chris isn’t afraid to fight for his clients, but also recognizes and respects the financial and emotional toll that a divorce or family law case can take on his clients and their families. With that in mind, Chris provides his clients with an honest assessment of their options, the benefits and risks of those options, and supports and advocates for the path that his clients choose to pursue. Chris has a particular interest in helping children and ensuring that they be able to enjoy childhood and develop into a well-rounded adults.

Prior to joining Schantz Fanning P.C., Chris attended Rutgers School of Law where he served as Editor in Chief of the Rutgers Law Record and earned a certificate for pro bono service during law school.

When Chris isn’t practicing family law, you are most likely to find him spending time with his wife and children, enjoying Oregon’s natural beauty, playing guitar or engaged in some project that allows him to flex his creativity.
