Alekandra Pavlovic

As a first-generation American, Aleks has overcome many hardships in order to get to where she currently is in life, ranging from poverty and abuse, to difficulties which stem from being a child of divorce. She has been able to overcome adversity through working closely within an interconnected web of people, a network or support system, that has helped her rise above the complex challenges that she had been facing, to essentially obtain a new lease on life. Aleks is grateful to be a member of a team such as the one here at Schantz Fanning, whose overarching goal, when it comes to helping their clients, is to help them find the same.

Aleks is interested in family law because she believes that at the root of life is one’s community and support network, which oftentimes largely consists of a family system. She believes we are either nourishing and being nourished by our network, or, sometimes there are issues within the family system that need to be addressed in order for balance to be restored. Aleks thinks that family law allows for numerous ways in which individuals can address challenges within their own network, and as they work to address these issues, family law supports them while they strive to find strength, balance, and empowerment along the way.

Currently, Aleks is a member of Oregon’s Provisional License Program. This program provides her with the opportunity to practice law at Schantz Fanning while under the supervision of attorney Christopher Fanning. As she works to complete the requirements of this program, that will allow her to apply for admission to the Oregon State Bar, all of the work that she will be completing will be carefully reviewed by Mr. Fanning. Aleks is tremendously grateful to be in this position where she gets to work with clients and build upon her skill set, while being able to consult with her supervisor each step of the way.
